Lecture at Bergen Assembly
Under the title Floating University: learning with the trouble Sarah Bovelett (GTAS) and Jeanne Astrup-Chauvaux (HCU) both members of the Floating Learnscapes were guests at the Bergen Assembly.
How can learning look like in unusual, hybrid locations – such as the rainwater retention basin of the former Berlin Tempelhof Airport – that reveal natural-cultural upheavals? How can we, as Haraway demands stay with the trouble and learn with the ‘trouble’ – with conflicts, differences and uncertainties? How can places be designed and organised that are not only ecologically, technically and culturally complex, but also offer spaces for experimentation, shared knowledge and participation?
The event was part of the Cross Courses (29.10.24 - 01.11.24) held at the Bergen Architecture School, in the framework of the Bergen Assembly 2025: across, with, nearby.
