Introducing

Yue Sun

Sun Yue has been a postdoc at GTAS since 2024 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Schneider. She is a helpless person struggling with Deutsch every day and also a lucky person rescued by a group of warm and nice people in GTAS. She does research and teaching in GTAS.

She likes plants. There are many plants accessible in the urban green spaces (parks, forests, waterside, community gardens, and peri-urban areas). Spatial practices, like urban foraging, common plant-based workshops and walks, communal gardening, and botanical guided tours, happen in these places and generate plentiful interactions between humans and accessible plants. These interactions benefit both humans and plants.

She focuses on the interactions between humans and accessible plants that grow in the city and wants to know:

What kinds of interactions are there between humans and accessible plants in the city?

How are these interactions generated?

How can more interactions be built and strengthened?

She completed her doctoral degree at Harbin Institute of Technology(2018-2024) and spent one year as a visiting PhD student at Politecnico di Torino (2020).

Welcome to discuss any interesting things with her.
